Southwest MO Soccer All Stars

For all players - please remember to bring black shorts and white socks for game day. The tshirts are in the process of being printed and the program is being updated to reflect your number. The numbers have been assigned based upon t-shirt size and will be provide on game day. You may want to consider a seperate practice outfit, depending on the weather next Thursday.

Schedules for the players is as follows:
2:00 pm - registration and practice which will begin immediately
3:30 pm - pregame meal provided by Subway
4:30 pm - Youth Clinic which will allow you to interact and support the next generation of players
6:00 pm - Girls game kicks off
8:00 pm - Boys game kicks off

Each player participating in the game is eligible for two adult and one youth ticket for free. Please contact me to provide the names of the individuals who will receive your ticket allotment. When you check-in on Thursday, Jeremy will have a list for you to provide the names of the individuals who should receive your allotment. They will then be available at the Will Call booth on game day. Other family & friends can purchase tickets at the gate.

That means we have close to 200 attendees already lined up to enjoy this game. If you can help attract four more attendees each, we’ll be close to 500 attendees. Combined with the marketing we are doing in the area, we hope to have as many as 750 attendees at the game. How many of you can say you’ve played in front of that many people in your career? The invitations have been extended and accepted. The rosters are now being finalized and will be announced on Monday. The Second Annual Southwest Soccer All Stars game will be held on Thursday June 22nd at the Cooper Soccer Complex in Springfield. Designed to recognize high school seniors who played for their teams during the 2005-2006 season, the event will include a Girls game beginning at 6:00 pm and a Boys game beginning at 8:00 pm. In addition, a Youth Skills clinic will be offered at 4:30 pm, featuring the All Stars working with the attendees.

Nominations are currently being solicited from area coaches, from a list that includes 30 boys teams and 21 girls teams covering all MSHSAA Classes. Final rosters should be released following the Memorial Day weekend.

The event is being organized jointly by SGFsoccer.com, Southwest Missouri’s premier source for soccer information, and the Springfield Soccer Club, home to xx teams (or players) and the top performing club program in the region.
